We left BILITY at the camp site and shocked the system and rode our bikes
around all day - hence no photos!
First ride of 2km (or thereabouts) was out to Puzzling World. We even
paid the dosh and did the illusion room and the maze. We managed to find
all four corners of the maze and enjoyed the Illusion room/s. There's a
wall of faces that follow you, water that goes up hill, chair on a rail that
seems to slide uphill rather than down hill. The usual pictures that cause
head spins when looking at them!
We then cycled back into Wanaka itself - yay downhill.
We found a lake side walk/cycle-track along the eastern edge of the lake and
cycled that. It was lovely - right beside the lake and only a few moments
of dodgy-ness where Rex of course cycled right on through and I wimped out and
pushed my bike. The ride itself goes to the mouth of the Clyde river and then
does end up in Albert Town.
We ended up cycling about 30km's today.
Nice quiet evening back at BILITY - we both even managed to read a bit.
