Off on the road to Christchurch - via Arthurs Pass. First stop was for breakfast along the way:

The local bird life checked us out.

Then we got to the start of the Arthurs Pass viaduct with the rock fall protection.



From the viewing point for this was a horrid first gear climb up to the viewing platform for the actual viaduct.
